Tour Start: Approximately 8:30 am (flexible)
Tour Duration: Approximately 6 hours
Depart from your hotel and drive approximately 70km (43mi) to a local hot spring in Klong Thom District. Enjoy a soak in the mineral-rich 38-42C (100-108F) waters. Stroll and explore the surrounding rainforest area, home to Gurney’s pitta, a rare bird once believed extinct. Continue on to the Emerald Lagoon, accessed by a 1,200m (3,937 ft) walk passing a series of clear pools, waterfalls and streams, plus hundreds of species of tropical trees and plants. Enjoy swimming in the clear, green waters of the lagoon. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Sua), one of Krabi's finest. Set amidst plants and flowers, the temple area includes several caves with limestone stalagmites and stalactites. Climb more than 1,000 steps to reach the top where a golden stupa and beautiful views of Krabi town and Khao Kanab Nam await. Return to Krabi and your hotel in the late afternoon.
