Discovering Japan's Authentic Food Culture with Kids

Today, you'll visit Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo's oldest and most distinguished Buddhist temple, with a rich history spanning nearly 1400 years. This majestic temple serves as a symbol of Asakusa and the entire city.

You'll then go on a family-friendly Senso-ji and Asakusa food tour. You'll try out all sorts of local street food such as takoyaki (octopus balls), yakisoba (stir-fried noodles), the Asakusa-specialty monjayaki (savory pancake), and taiyaki (fish-shaped waffles filled with sweet bean paste).

You'll ride Tokyo Mizube Line's comfortable water bus that will allow you to move freely in this thrilling scenic ride. You can choose between the Asakusa to Odaiba route. Some of Tokyo's top sights including the Tokyo Sky Tree, Tsukiji Bridge, Rainbow Bridge, and more!   The cruise can be done in under an hour allowing you to use your free time to explore more of either Asakusa or Odaiba.

Afterward, take a leisurely stroll at Odaiba Marine Park, offering splendid photo opportunities with attractions such as the Rainbow Bridge, a Statue of Liberty replica, and more, all overlooking Tokyo Bay.

You’ll get to ride the New Transit Yurikamome around. This driverless, automated transit service links Shimbashi to Toyosu, via Odaiba across the Rainbow Bridge.

You'll visit Meiji Jingu Shrine, Tokyo's largest and most influential spiritual site. Located just beside the JR Yamanote Line's busy Harajuku Station, the Shrine and the adjacent Yoyogi Park make up a large forested area within the densely built-up city. The spacious shrine grounds offer walking paths that are great for a relaxing stroll.

Zojo-ji Temple is the head temple of the Jodo sect of Japanese Buddhism, in Kanto. Standing next to Tokyo Tower at 1,092 feet (333 meters) tall, the grounds of this beautiful temple include a mausoleum of the Tokugawa family and a small museum.

Tokyo Tower stands as the world's tallest self-supported steel tower, towering three meters above its inspiration, the Eiffel Tower. Built in 1958, it offers stunning panoramic views of Tokyo's cityscape and serves as a cultural symbol blending modernity and tradition. Don't miss this iconic landmark that encapsulates Japan's architectural prowess and rich cultural heritage.

Akihabara, often referred to as "Electric Town," is Tokyo's premier district for electronics, as well as a popular hub for immersing oneself in anime and manga culture.

Tokyo Disney Resort is split into two different theme parks: Tokyo Disney Land & DisneySea, each which you have the option of visiting.

Disneyland Tokyo has many of the same attractions as its California and Florida counterparts, but it also has its own exclusives such as: Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast ride, Pooh’s Hunny Hunt ride, Monsters, Inc. – Ride & Go Seek ride, The Happy Ride with Baymax, and Journey to the Center of the Earth. The Stitch themed Tiki Room. The reoccurring kid-centric activities can’t be missed either, with its splendid puppet shows, dress ups, princess competitions, and the not to be missed parades.

Meanwhile, Disney Sea, which is tailored more so towards older parkgoers, has its own beautiful lands such as Mediterranean town, Mermaid Lagoon, and its star landmark: the erupting volcano Mount Prometheus on the Mysterious Island. The American Waterfront land is home to its own version of the iconic and terrifying Tower of Terror.

Located in the Fuji Five Lake region at the foot of Mount Fuji, Fuji-Q Highland is one of Japan's most popular amusement parks. It’s best known for its thrilling, record-breaking roller coasters such as Fujiyama and Takabisha: the world’s steepest coaster.

The park also has several large-scale entertainment attractions, many of which are based on popular anime series such as Gundam, Hamtaro, and Naruto, and Thomas Land, based on the British Thomas the Tank Engine franchise.

Hakone stands as the crown jewel of the Kanto region, and a notable tourist hotspot. Our "Hakone Day Tour" invites you to Lake Ashino, where you'll board the "Hakone Pirate Ship" for a scenic voyage, treating you to the breathtaking vistas of Mount Fuji and the serene lake.

Then, hop on the Hakone Ropeway for a mesmerizing ride to Owakudani. The journey offers a picturesque landscape throughout. 

Owakudani, a remnant of a volcanic eruption 4,000 years ago, still showcases bursts of white smoke and the unmistakable scent of sulfur. The Daibutsuden (Great Buddha Hall), among the world's largest wooden structures, showcases impressive scale and architecture.

Nakatanidou is a renowned shop specializing in traditional mochi, offering live demonstrations of the beloved Japanese treat's creation process. Their pride lies in the dramatic mochi-pounding, or mochitsuki, performed daily at the shop which visitors can gather to watch.

At Universal Studios Japan, there are eleven different areas where you can experience top class attractions such as Super Nintendo World and its star rides: Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge™ and Yoshi’s Adventure™. There’s even more excitement waiting for you in lands like The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™, Minion Park™, Jurassic Park™, and others that kids and adults enjoy, or catch shows like the Universal Spectacle Night Parade and Waterworld: A Live Sea War Spectacular.

Today you'll visit the historic Osaka Castle Park, behold the castle itself in all its splendor, and get a glimpse into what life was life as a member of the shogunate.

At Ninja-do in Asakusa, engage in a ninja themed experience, guided by a friendly instructor who’ll imparting skills such as Shuriken throwing and more.
