Welcome to Meiji Jingu Shrine This shrine is the largest and most powerful spot in Tokyo. Meiji Jingu enshrines Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken as its deities.Located in the center of Tokyo, the palace is surrounded by moats and serene gardens.

At 1,092 feet (333 meters) tall, Zojoji Temple is the head temple of the Jodo sect of Japanese Buddhism in the Kanto Region.  Standing next to Tokyo Tower, the temple grounds consist of some impressive structures as well as a mausoleum of the Tokugawa family and a small museum.

Day 4 - Kamakura Highlights Tour | Komachi Street, Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine, Amida Buddha Statue, Enoden Electric Train, Shichirigahama Beach

Today, you will embark on an unforgettable adventure to Kamakura, a city steeped in history and natural beauty. The town became Japan's political center, when Minamoto Yoritomo chose it as the seat for his new military government in the late 12th century. The Kamakura government continued to rule Japan for over a century, first under the Minamoto shogun and then under the Hojo regents.

Kamakura’s most famous shopping area, Komachi Street contains plenty of places to shop for souvenirs or stop for a meal.

Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine is Kamakura’s central Shinto shrine, dedicated to Hachiman, the god of war. It’s known for its stunning torii gate, its long road leading to the shrine known as Wakamiya Ōji, and the scenic ponds surrounding its main hall.

Catch a ride aboard the old-style electric train, "Enoden," for a scenic trip to Hase-dera.

Hase-dera temple is known for its enchanting garden, as well as being home to the awe-inspiring and iconic 13-meter-high Kotokuin Great Buddha of Kamakura.

Day 7 - Kyoto Full Day Classic tour | Higashi Honganji Temple, Sanjusangendo, Nishiki Market, Tea Ceremony

Unlike many sightseeing locations, Higashi Honganji Temple is still an influential place in modern religious practices, situated just east of another spot of interest, Nishi Honganji Temple. They functioned as a single temple complex, in fact, until shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu split them into east (higashi) and west (nishi) because he was afraid that as a single entity, their political power would grow too great.

Sanjusangendo is the popular name for Rengeo-in, a temple in eastern Kyoto which is famous for its 1001 statues of Kannon, the goddess of mercy.  wooden statue of a 1000-armed Kannon (Senju Kannon) that is flanked on each side by 500 statues of human sized 1000-armed Kannon standing in ten rows.  Together they make for an awesome sight.

Nishiki Market is a narrow, five block long shopping street lined by more than one hundred shops and restaurants. Known as "Kyoto's Kitchen", this lively retail market specializes in all things food related, like fresh seafood, produce, knives and cookware, and is a great place to find seasonal foods and Kyoto specialties, such as Japanese sweets, pickles, dried seafood and sushi.

Day 9 - Nara Full Day Excursion & Stay in Osaka | Fushimi Inari Shrine, Nara Park, Todai-ji Temple, Kasuga Taisha

In Fushimi ward of Kyoto, embark on a captivating journey that traces its history back to the 8th century with a visit to Fushimi Inari Taisha, the esteemed headquarters of approximately 30,000 Inari shrines scattered across the country.

From there, we'll make our way to Nara Park, home to over 1,200 freely roaming deer that have become a cherished natural treasure, all whom you may feed. Your adventure in Nara culminates at Tōdai-ji Temple, a cultural gem nestled in the heart of the city.

Check out Todai-ji Temple, a monumental structure with a significant role in Japanese history. Pass through the imposing Nandaimon (Great Southern Gate), guarded by fierce Nio figures sculpted by renowned artists Unkei and Kaikei. The Daibutsuden (Great Buddha Hall), among the world's largest wooden structures, showcases impressive scale and architecture.

Kasuga Taisha, Nara’s most celebrated shrine, was founded alongside the city and is dedicated to the deity protecting Nara. Serving as the sacred site for the powerful Fujiwara clan during the Nara and Heian Periods, this shrine holds deep historical significance. Modeled after the Ise Shrines, Kasuga Taisha was traditionally rebuilt every 20 years—a custom that lasted until the Edo Period. Guests who visit the Osaka Museum of History can view and engage in a variety of activities that educate on the historic and cultural heritage of Osaka, from ancient times as Japan’s first capital to its contemporary era.

Shinsekai is a unique district blending inspirations from Paris and New York. The northern half draws from Parisian architecture and ambiance, while the southern half mirrors the lively atmosphere of New York’s Coney Island. This fusion creates a vibrant, eclectic neighborhood that reflects both Western influences and Osaka's own character.  

Originally built in 1912 as a nod to the Eiffel Tower, Tsutenkaku Tower has become a beloved landmark in Osaka. Although dismantled during WWII, it was reconstructed in 1956 and now stands 103 meters tall. Visitors can enjoy a main observatory at 91 meters, an open-air deck, and even a thrilling 60-meter slide at the tower's base.

Shitenno-ji, one of Japan's oldest temples and the first state-built sanctuary, founded in 593 by Prince Shotoku who introduced Buddhism to Japan. Having several fires over the centuries, each reconstruction has faithfully mirrored the original 6th-century architecture.

Day 11 - Hiroshima Highlights Tour | Atomic Bomb Dome, Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park, Hiroshima Peace Memorial

Today, you will be accompanied with a tour guide to visit Hiroshima by one way bullet train and public transportation.

On this tour, Hiroshima's Atomic Bomb Dome, the place of prayer for peace on this leisurely tour. * Hiroshima is the principal city of the Chugoku Region and home to over a million inhabitants.

Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park ( Heiwa Kinen Kōen) is one of the most prominent features of the city. Even visitors not looking for it will likely stumble upon the large park of over 120,000 square meters. Its trees, lawns, and walking paths are in stark contrast to the surrounding downtown area. The sight is ranked as one of Japan's three best views.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum the results of the bomb are explored through original photography, lifelike models, artists' impressions, recovered items and descriptive explanations. While the museum explores the pain of nuclear war, it does not shy away from Japan's own violent history, with an entire section dedicated to Japan's bloody campaign that cut a swath through Asia.

Visit the Atomic Bomb Dome, the last standing remnant of the original Hiroshima when it was bombed.

Day 12 - Miyajima Highlights Tour | Miyajima, Itsukushima Shrine

Today, you will be accompanied with a tour guide to visit Miyajima and back by Bullet Train & public transportation.

Miyajima island, with its grand forests, temples and wild deer, make for a beloved tourist spot. In the day the deer mingle with the tourists and sleep along the walking paths in the evening. Unfortunately, unlike at Nara, the deer on Miyajima are not allowed to be fed.

The centuries-old Itsukushima Shrine (Itsukushima Jinja) is the source of both the island's fame and its name: Miyajima literally means "shrine island" in Japanese. The shrine is known worldwide for its iconic "floating" torii gate, as the gate looks as if it floats when the tide comes in and the waters completely cover the ground.
