How to arrange a day trip to Hong Island
Stop 1: Hong Island is a magical and beautiful place. A boat ride along the narrow passageway leads you to the open lagoon, where the water is so clear that you can see the bottom. The limestone peaks on the side are rocky, and the hills are thick with mangrove trees, which are unique to the tropics. Relax and enjoy your lunch on Hong Island.
Stop 2: Lading Island. Until a few years ago, tourists were not allowed to visit Lading Island. Because of the abundance of bird's nests, the workers who picked them lived on the island.
Stop 3: Pakbia Island. It is very interesting to see how the waves erode the reefs and feel the process of cavern journey here.
Stop 4: Rai Island. At low tide, you can walk along the water channel that emerges from the sea to another island connected to it, where you will see a fantastic beach that recedes in the waves at high tide.
Stop 5: Deang Island. This island is a huge rocky outcrop in the middle of the sea, with incredible views of the coral reef when the wind and waves are low.

What is Hong Island like?
Hong Island has two features: firstly, there is a lagoon, which is very shallow and suitable for those who don't know how to swim or are afraid of wind and waves to learn snorkeling there. Although the water is shallow, there are many small fish there. Then there is a large beach, almost one of the best beaches there, which is a great place for swimming and sunbathing.
Tips:
Hong Island is also the filming location for the James Bond movie Cutthroat Island.
How to transport from Krabi to Koh Hong?
One-day tour by long-tail boat or speedboat is required. Offer pick up and drop off for free for hotels in Ao Nang. Hotels in Krabi Town or Railey Beach may need to pay a transfer fee.
