This tour is a great introduction to China, with a mix of classic sites and amazing cities in the country's epicentre. The Huanghuacheng Great Wall in Beijing is definitey worth visiting. Since part of it is under a lake, it looks like a dragon hovering in the water. Yunnan province is called Colorful Yunnan. Lijiang is like a beautiful jewel on the Northwest Yunnan Plateau, Shangri-la is a mythical Himalayan utopia, and Dali is rich in cultural heritage. Kunming is the capital of beautiful Yunnan Province and it is well known as the "Spring City”. We will finish our tour in Shanghai, the modern city developing faster than any other.
Itinerary idea in detail
Upon arrival in Beijing, meet your guide and driver.
Then we will start with a visit of the Temple of Heaven.
This is a complex of Taoist buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing.
Then you will visit Hutong on a rickshaw.
Due to the narrow lanes, taxis cannot enter Hutong, so rickshaw is one of the most welcomed modes of transportation.
You will start the day with a visit to Tiananmen Square, located in the centre of Beijing City, one of the largest city squares in the world.
Afterwards, you will enter the Forbidden City, called “Gogong” in Chinese.
Then, we will visit Lama Temple.
It was built as a mansion for Emperor Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty when he was a prince, and later converted to a lamasery.
Have breakfast in the hotel.
First off, visit Huanghuacheng Great Wall.
Unlike other parts of The Great Wall, this one is under a lake and therefore looks like a dragon hovering on the water.
It’s also a good idea to go hike to and explore the small village nearby.

Drive to the airport, fly to Lijang in the afternoon.
Night in Lijiang.
Have breakfast in the hotel, then visit the Black Dragon Pond with the Dongba Culture Museum, the best known and most frequently visited park in Lijiang.
The Five Phoenixes Pavilion, built in early 17th century, possesses intricately joined and beautifully painted eaves.
Proceed to visit Lijiang ancient town.
A gathering place of the Naxi minority, Lijiang Ancient Town is a mountainous town of stone and tile, rimmed with canals and lanes, which has been listed as an UNESCO world monument.
It takes the form of an official ink stone, and unlike most of the old towns in China, the city is not fortified by a wall.
It is surrounded by magnificent mountains, a true delight for the senses.
Full day tour in Lijiang in Baisha Frescos, Yufeng Monastery, Yuhu Naxi minority’s village and Shuhe Old Town.
North of Lijiang County you will find the Liulidian Temple and Daobaoji Temple at Baisha village, housing 558 mural painting on 12 walls that date back to the Ming Dynasty in 1385.
Drive about 4.5 hours to Shangri-la.
Stop on the way for a magnificent view of the Yangtze river near an 180-degree turn.
Then visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge.
Upon arrival, take time to visit the old town of Shangri-la.
Shangri-La is a beautiful city filled with breath-taking mountains and a rich cultural history.
Visit Geden Songzanglin Monastery, which has 700 monks and one living Buddha.
Founded in the 17th century during the reign of the Fifth Dalai Lama, it is nicknamed the Lesser Potala Palace by locals.
You will then embark on a half day tour of Pudacuo National Park with a virgin forest and meadow dotted with wild flowers and tranquil lakes.
Then visit a Tibetan family.
Upon arrival explore the Dali Old Town, with a history that's 1,300 years old and home to Bai minority.
The town, whose format is like a chess board with four gates guarding the north, south, east and west, stands between Cangsham mountains and Erhai lake.
This entirely natural structure seems specially designed, highlighting the town's unparalleled beauty.
Duration: 6h30 hours
In the morning, visit Zhoucheng tie-dye cloth workshop, Xizhou Bai minority’s village and morning market, and settle down for the Bai’s Three-Course Tea.
Then proceed to Cangshan Mountains (by cable car), and the Three Pagodas, the landmark of Dali region.
Upon an early arrival at Kunming, transfer to your hotel for breakfast.
Then drive to the Stone Forest, an extremely rare geological phenomenon dating back to 270 million years ago.
The Stone Forest is 80 hectares of karst limestone pillars in fantastic shapes that resemble a forest when viewed from a distance.
It is also home to the Sani tribe, a diverse and scattered Yi minority group, renowned for their diligence, embroidery and dancing.
Upon your return to Kunming, visit the Green Lake Park.
Have breakfast at the hotel then transfer to the airport.
Upon arrival in Shanghai, meet your guide and driver.
Visit Bund, the centre of administrative and commercial activity on the river.
Set sail on a public boat over Huangpu River, from which you can enjoy the beautiful views of the harbour and the Hungpu river.
Take a walk in Pudong Area, alongside its skyscrapers.
Visit the Shanghai old town with its pedestrian streets filled with traditional shops, and the 16th century Yu Garden, located in the heart of the Old town.
In the morning, drive to Tongli, known for its network of canals, and for this it is nicknamed"Venice of the East".
You could wonder about in this old village and take out a boat.
There are many "Retreat and Reflection Gardens" called Tuisiyuan in Chinese.
It was recognized along with other classical Suzhou gardens as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visit the Master of Nets Garden (wangshi yuan in Chinese).
It is the smallest of the Suzhou residential gardens, yet it is the most impressive due to its use of space, which creates a powerful visual illusion.
Finally, visit a local silk factory.
Back to Shanghai in the late afternoon.
Have breakfast in the hotel.
Visit the Shanghai museum of ancient Chinese art, situated on the People's Square.
You will also visit Jade Budda Temple, one of Shanghai's must-see attractions.
It's still very much active, with 70 resident monks according to the latest figures.
Take a walk on China's premier shopping street, a 3.4-mile long Nanjing Road.
Today over 600 businesses on the road offer the latest high quality famous fashion brands.
Unfortunately, our amazing trip has to draw to a close.
You will be transferred to the airport.

Excess Baggage Charges : Passengers holding an adult fare or half fare ticket are entitled to a free baggage allowance of 20kg, for economy class. Total weight of carry-on baggage for each passenger may not exceed 5kg. The size may not exceed 20x40x 55cm
